We took a trip to the Long Island Game Farm yesterday, and though it was a speedy trip we had a great time!

They had some pretty cool animals...but by far the kids liked the 'petting zoo' part of the Game Farm the best..

McKenna is our 'animal whisperer'...she loves any animals and could have spent the whole day playing with and feeding the goats. We also got to feed the deer in 'Bambiland' (I kid you not)... but a lot of the deer in there were pretty ragged-looking - kinda skeezed me out, but I tried not to show my disgust to the kids since they were having fun. (We took wipey-baths when we got back to the car...yuck!) I couldn't get over the amount of money this place makes with animals that you can find on the farm upstate...right, Jules?! (You should bring your goats down and we'll set up a petting zoo at my house...you'd make a fortune!) The baby goats were SOOO cute though...I must admit! And take note of the third picture down on the left...this is Nolan throughout the park - little interest in the animals...he just wanted to RUN everywhere!!!! (in the picture, he's contemplating climbing on top of the white pillar...calculating the risks of injury by falling and from his mother!)

And we found this little duck bin in the middle of nowhere...the ducks were just hanging out and once we found them and the kids started petting them, other kids flocked right over. I think people probably walk right by them without even realizing what was inside. The pictures on the bottom are from another pen...in the middle picture, McKenna is turning on the 'shower' for the ducks...pretty cool!

And of course we had to do the pony rides...poor ponies - they just walk in a big circle all day!

And the teacup ride ("free" with admission, so you bet we were all over it!)...McKenna was actually spinning the teacup enough that Chris had to put the brakes on so they didn't get sick!
